Week in Review: A Cycling Accident, Historic Hale and an Editor's Note

A look back at the week in Westwood news.

It was a close call for one cyclist, whose injuries were determined to be non-life threatening following a crash on High Street early in the week.

Mosquitoes continued to be a threat to the region this week, and, as such, Westwood health officials issued a new alert regarding EEE and West Nile Virus.

Westwood Economic Development Office Chris McKeown prepared to take part in his 28th Pan-Massachusetts Challenge this weekend alongside a large number of other Westwood riders.

This week, we took a look into the past over at Hale Reservation, specifically, Hale's Cat Rock Pasture.

Be sure to check out this week's report from the Westwood Police Department to get more information on a damaged vehicle, credit card fraud and an attempted theft.

Lastly, it was a bittersweet week for Westwood Patch editor Matt Perkins, who wrapped up his time reporting in town after two years since launching the site in June 2010.
