Visions for Vacancies in Westwood: What Should Fill New High St. Space?
The space was formerly occupied by the M.A.D. Hatter and CHILL.
A new retail space has opened up on High Street across from Starbucks, in the same plaza as Victoria's Cucina Italiana and Westwood Convenient Food Mart and Deli.
Most recently, the space was occupied by The M.A.D. Hatter sports memorabilia shop, and, before, that, CHILL.
But the space is open once again, and we're asking our readers to sound off on what should vacate the space before plans are drawn.
So, what do you think would be a good fit in the plaza on High Street? A new cafe? A used book store? Something entirely different?
Let us know in the comments section below, and if you have a vacant store suggestion, send a note to mattp@patch.com.

a sporting goods shop in town would be great... probably not enough space for one in that spot though.

I think the problem is not what we want but what could possibly survive in that location. With the new library it would be great to have some sort of cafe in this area with outdoor seating, but that location doesn't lend itself well to it... Too bad that Appleseeds is to become another real estate office and the Colburn school a drive thru bank, they would be great locations for a cheese shop, cafe, or bakery...
