The following was submitted by Nancy Donahue, President of the Westwood Historical Society.

The original Westwood High School building was built in 1957. The building was demolished in 2005 when the new high school building was constructed. The gymnasium and swimming facility from the old school were refurbished and are now part of the new high school campus.

Just an FYI, this is not the original, original WHS. The original WHS is now the Thurston Middle School without all the additions. Prior to the Thurston, Westwood high school students went to Dedham HS.
