Town Election 2012: Poll Times, Locations
Town Clerk Dottie Powers hopes to see 20 percent of Westwood's voters make it to the polls.
It's Election Day in Westwood, and officials are hoping to see a bit of a bump in voter turnout this year compared to last.
"I'm hoping that we'll definitely have more of a turnout than last year, because we have the charter question and one contested race," said Westwood Town Clerk Dottie Powers. "I'm hoping we can get at least 20 percent of the voters out there."
Last year, only 3 percent of the town's registered voters made it to the polls for the town election, largely due to the fact that there were no contested races nor a contentious question on the ballot.
But this year, Westwood residents Chris Pfaff and Peter Hack are eyeing a vacant seat on the Planning Board. And residents will finally have a chance to vote in proposed revisions to the town's charter as well.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m., and residents can vote at the following locations:
| Precinct | Location | Address |
| 1 | Westwood Senior Center (Council on Aging) | 210 Nahatan St. |
| 2 | Sheehan Elementary | 549 Pond St. |
| 3 | Paul Hanlon School | 790 Gay St. |
| 4 | Downey School | 250 Downey St. |
