Afterschool Inc. was established in 1995 by Mary Beth Claus Tobin, and later became known as the Tobin Afterschool. 

Tobin Afterschool provided children with a home like environment and many interesting activities in a safe, supervised, professional setting. At the end of the school day, children needed time to unwind, relax and play with their friends. Many children enjoyed participating in enrichment programs, sports and pursuing their varied interests. 

After 17 years, Tobin Afterschool has shifted its focus from school-aged children to the younger population, and is now called Tobin School Westwood, located at 1054 High St.

Westwood Children's School, also founded by Mary Beth Claus Tobin, which was established in 1987, has provided care for children aged infants through Pre-Kindergarten for nearly 25 years. Westwood Children's School will be celebrating its 25th anniversary this September.

Westwood Children's School is National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accredited and licensed by EEC, located at 808 High St. now has classrooms geared towards infants, toddlers and preschoolers. WCS is a full day, full year program open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., with an early pick up option. 

WCS offers a variety of activities, such as music with Hugh Hanley, animal science, visits to the library, yoga, gymnastics, American Sign Language and special guest visitors. WCS has long term teachers who have been with the school for several years, most with their bachelors degree!

Just right down the street at Tobin School Westwood, administrators provide care for children 3.5 years of age and up for the school's Pre-K and Junior K classrooms. 

Tobin School Westwood has a brand new state-of-the-art playground and turf field that has been a huge hit this summer, equipped with built in sprinklers for the children to play on on these hot days 

During the summer months Tobin School Westwood offers flexible scheduling for families, and starting September has an academic program, open 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with full and short days available.

The school offers a wide range of curriculum; Animal Science, Music, Art, Spanish, American Sign Language, Mandarin, Fitness, Yoga, Handwriting Without Tears, Lively Letters and much more.

Both WCS and TSW offer an optional lunch program five days a week from Vellos Restaurant, a favorite of the children.  

Both programs are small and well regarded in the community, they are excited for the new changes ahead this year and welcome families to and see what they are all about!
