Three-Alarm Fire Breaks Out in Westwood

The fire was at 355 Dover Rd., not far from the Dover town line.

 

Firefighters responded Monday morning to 355 Dover Rd. in Westwood, where a fire attacked a two-story house and a nearby barn.

The fire was reported knocked out just before 7 a.m. Monday.

Scanner reports indicate that the building was vacant and under construction. 

It was initially reported at about 5 a.m. Westwood Fire requested mutual aid, including the Dover Fire Department. Firefighters were expected to be at the scene for part of the morning.

Dover Police tweeted that Dover Road was closed by the town line, and drivers should avoid Dover's Powissett Street.
