Sign Up for a CSA

Support local farms.

They're becoming more popular and more mainstream—but that's not a bad thing. CSAs—community supported agriculture—offer the opportunity for people to eat healthfully and locally.

The closest one to this area is in Dover: Powisset Farm, which sells 300 shares and has a farmstand during the warmer months. It offers produce as well as meat and sometimes eggs.

For more CSAs in the area, visit the MassGrown website run by the state. You can search by town.

To my knowledge there are at least 2 other CSAs in Dover. VanGard run by Chris Yoder is quite established and has been selling organic CSA shares for decades. Brian Austin also has a CSA on Main St.

I work over at the Dedham Square Country Store, which offers a year-round CSA Share Program, split into 5 seasonal offerings of local farm fresh fruit and produce. This year on March 24th, we will also be introducing a meat and seafood CSA Share program. With all of our CSAs, our customers can add loaves of bread, jars of artisan jams, cage free dozens of eggs, and milk in glass 1/2 gallons to each full or 1/2 share. Pickup days are Sunday and Wednesday at 626 High Street in Dedham Square, Mass. 02026. Information is available online at: dedhamsquarecountrystore.com or by emailing: csa@dedhamsquarecountrystore.com.
