John, I'm not sure and I'd be surprised if you got your answer here. Patch really doesn't appear to cover local town (Westwood) news or issues anymore. They only post a daily police log (incomplete, only 2-3 incidents) in the morning and that appears to be it. It looks like there is a new editor for the site, maybe he's just getting up to speed, but there's been no coverage of anything related to Westwood (University Station, the recycling program (is it working), what the DPW is doing, Anne's, Convenient, etc... ) as of late... Westwood Patch is basically a commenting platform on state/federal political topics.

^^
Agreed. No idea what happened to this site. Just lots of questions and polls. No news. No local reporting. Sad.

I would like to know more about why the police would find it necessary to shoot a deer... twice!

What do you think they do for injured deers? Bring them to the deer hospital? And they shot it twice because it ran off into the woods before they could shoot it a third time. Any more questions?

Anyone know what's going on with the Convenient Mart location? Also, anyone know when the new library is due to open? I thought I had read at one time it was scheduled to be open in early 2013?
