On a dark, cloudy, windy night, the Westwood High School girls soccer team hosted Millis.

The Westwood girls soccer team went into last night's game against Millis with a record of 0-3-1, while Millis brought a 2-1-1 record into the Wolverines' home stadium.

With the National Weather Service announcing a wind advisory, the ball could bounce just about any way.

Take a look at these photos taken at the game.

Parents and other fans, if you have photos you'd like to see on Westwood Patch from this or any other game, you can upload them in our Pics and Clips section, or you could upload them using our blogging platform and provide game summaries, stats, news and more in addition to your photos.

It'd be great if the coach or AD submitted scores to Westwood Patch (or even the Globe or Herald -- there's no score listed in these publications either). But maybe people are feeling like Westwood Patch has become a site for sharing comments on national political and social issues... and not a site specific for Westwood news and issues. I hardly look at this site anymore because it's just a "hey what do you think of mitt romney" question with comments or "where should there be a stop sign in EASTERN MASS" question... nothing Westwood specific anymore.

Our feeling here at Patch is that the elections, whether they're for President, Congress or another position, are very much important to Patch. Asking questions of readers about their opinions on topics related to the Presidential candidates, for example, creates a discussion that helps us gain a sense of Westwood residents' thoughts, feelings and opinions. If you have any story ideas that you feel are "specific for Westwood news and issues," that we have failed to cover, please send them along to robert.rosen@patch.com.

Robert, fair enough, it's your site and you guys do a good job with it. I just think that the comments section used to be a great way to get the pulse of the town with regards to issues/concerns/events/etc... now it's overwhemed with back/forth from Patch readers of other towns over national politics/issues. And when you have a stop sign question (or what restaurant would you like to have in town), it should be specific to a town site. I was reading comments about streets in towns over 20 miles away that need a stop sign or about someone from Tewksbury that wants a certain restaurant in their town.

Comments about Westwood issues are buried in the comments section so it's difficult to gain any traction in discussion/debate/praise in this online forum with regards to Westwood.

Rob, thoughts on the 9/21 comment? I just sumbitted a comment about Westwood automated recylcling, but I am guessing it will be buried under comments related to "what to do about grinding at school dances." Could there possibly be a way to filter to just Westwood comments (or comments from Westwood Patch registrants) so this can be a community news forum?

There is no "computer software filter" to do something like this, but I would suggest reading the stories that appear geared specifically to Westwood if you only want to read comments from people in Westwood. As for your comment recycling, the articles that show up first would be the most recent stories, and that article is from July, so that would be a tough for people to come across unless they knew to look for it or were searching for information on that topic.

I've seen these girls play. They'll put together a few wins out there... they are solid athletes who excel in other sports as well. Poor Jack probably just angry he didn't make the jv table tennis team.
