New Library Update: Project Trailer to Be Removed in July
The Clerk of the Works will begin working from the new library starting in mid-July.
Construction still continues on the new Westwood Public Library project, though by mid-July, the project trailer will be removed from the site, according to an update by Library Director Tom Viti Thursday.
With the project trailer gone, a sign that the project is in its home stretch, the construction supervisor and Clerk of the Works will work from the new library building, Viti said.
Other work continues, and the outlook for the next two weeks involves miscellaneous drywall and taping, light installation on the first floor, wood and metal ceiling installation, bathroom tile work, exterior stone wall construction, and exterior gutter, downspout, flashing and chimney work.
Electrical work on the new building also continues, Viti said.
Meanwhile, the staff at the library have released a list of 15 things residents should know about The Colburn School and the new library.
