Home Break-Ins Continue on Canton Street, Terrace

The incidents took place Wednesday, when jewelry was stolen from one home.

Following suit with a recent string of home break-ins, Westwood Police responded to two reports of housebreaks on Wednesday, March 21, according to a statement by the Westwood Police Department on Thursday.

In one incident, a resident of Canton Street arrived home during the late afternoon Wednesday to find a door window pane to be smashed, according to Police, but no entry was gained.

In the second incident, a resident of Canton Terrace arrived home to find their home had been burglarized. Entry was made to that home by smashing a smaller window within an entry door and then unlocking the door.

An inventory of missing property is pending, but it appears that jewelry was stolen from the home, police said.

Police are investigating the incidents, and are asking residents to report any suspicious activity observed in their neighborhoods.

Last week's incident on High Street resulted in the arrest of four individuals after a passerby reported suspicious activity in the area.
