Kelly Healey scored on a 4-on-3 power play with less than five minutes left to lift Westwood to a 5-4 win against Scituate on Wednesday.
The Wolverines started quickly with first-period goals from Kim Egizi and Meghan Kelly, and dominated the period.
Scituate (8-7) got one back early in the second period to make it 2-1. Healey scored off on a rebound of a shot by Katie Horsfall to put Westwood back up 3-1. Scituate then took control of the second period with three straight goals to take a 4-3 lead.
Westwood came back with a strong third period. Kat Heidleberger tied the game at 4-4.
Katie Horsfall started the play at the point, making a cross ice pass to Ela Hazar, who put a shot on net, with Heidleberger batting in the rebound. Healey then put Westwood back on top with her second goal of the game and 12th on the season, off a pass from Egizi.
With the win, Westwood improved to 9-2-1 and is now just one win away from an MIAA playoff berth.
