Five Things You Need to Know: July 30

Two concerts today, minor league baseball and the search for a lost dog continues during what should be a sunny Monday.

 

 

Today's Weather: Should be a sunny day with highs of 81. Temperatures drop at night to 59 as a slight chance of showers lands according to the National Weather Service.

1. Come to the Westwood Public Library (Islington Branch) at 9:30 a.m. this morning to see The Music Man: Ed Morgan playing an all-ages show.

2. They'll be more music at night with the Westwood Free Summer Concert Series continuing tonight at 6:30 p.m. on 60 Nahatan St. Tonight's band will be the Bubble Man, a children's music event.

3. For the baseball fan out there, the Brockton Rox will be playing tonight at 7:05 p.m. on 1 Feinburg Way in Brockton. Tonight's theme is Harry Potter Night. Also, as a special bonus, kids eat free.

5. Today in History: It was today in 1965 that President Lyndon Johnson signed the Medicare Bill into law.
