The lack of rainfall this spring has prompted the Dedham-Westwood Water District to implement voluntary water restrictions for both towns effective immediately.
Westwood residents are asked to limit outdoor water use to Tuesdays and Fridays, while Dedham residents are asked to limit outdoor watering to Mondays and Thursdays.
Traditionally, voluntary restrictions are posted on or around June 1 each year as part of a water conservation plan.
