The following was submitted by Nancy Donahue, President of the Westwood Historical Society.

The First Baptist Church of Westwood was built in 1809 at the intersection of High and Pond Streets. It was built with timbers from the old Clapboardtree Parish church.

To accommodate the widening of High Street, the church was moved several times on its location at the intersection of High and Pond Streets, and was moved to its current location at 808 High St. in 1989.
