5 Things You Need to Know Today: July 10

University Station updates, the return of the Westwood Farmers Market and officials need your help.

 

Today's Weather: It will be a mostly sunny day in Westwood with a high near 84degrees, according to information from the National Weather Service.

1. The Westwood Planning Board will meet tonight to discuss, among other items, the development of the University Station Project. The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Champagne Meeting Room of the Carby Street Municipal Building. 

2. The Westwood Farmers Market will be open today from 1 to 6 p.m. in the parking lot of the Westwood Senior Center. Be sure to check out our new weekly feature profiling a new vendor at the market each week.

3. Westwood officials are currently seeking residents who are interested in applying for several open spots on several of the town's boards and committees.

4. Baby Boot Camp will be held from at 9:30 a.m. today at Westwood High School. The program features the premier stroller fitness class in the nation. Classes are a fun, interactive, pre- and post-natal stroller fitness program that turns your stroller into a portable fitness machine.   

5. If you're an avid recycler, you can be one of several in Westwood to help bring $100,000 into town by recording your recycling activity.
