On June 18, the Westwood Youth Softball League girls' minor league division championship was decided in a contest between The Heat and The Sunbirds.
The Sunbirds won the championship, finishing a perfect season with their 10th straight victory. The team practiced every week from April until June.
The roster, led by coaches Beth Conary, Dan Griffin and Rich Goodman, included:
