Westwood Educational Foundation Grant Deadline: March 1

The Westwood Educational Foundation is currently accepting applications from school and community groups for their annual grant cycle. If you have ideas for programs or projects that reflect the vision of the organization’s mission statement and will provide creative and innovative educational opportunities for the Westwood community, please present the WEF Board with your ideas! You are invited to explore the organization’s website, www.wefwestwood.org for information on frequently asked questions, past grants, and application forms. All applications must be received by March 1, 2012 and recipients will be notified of the Board’s funding decisions after April 11, 2012.

Annual grants funded in 2011 include Adding a New Dimension to Learning in Westwood which introduced a three dimensional printer into the high school, “The Power of One”, a bully proofing program for the Martha Jones elementary school, Bullying Prevention Theater for Westwood Middle and High Schools, Hale Reservation Floating Classroom Program for Westwood High School, and Supporting Quality in Early Childhood Education Programs which funded parent seminars for the Westwood early childhood community.

Now in its 21st year, WEF has awarded more than $792,000 in grants.
