Locally based Roche Bros. was ranked one of the top best companies to work for in the US as part of the 150 National Top Workplaces Survey 2013.

According to Workplace Dynamics, who conducted the survey, over 1 million employees from 872 large companies across the United States were polled in order to create the definitive list of 150 Top Workplaces with 1,000 employees or more. The top 150 rankings is the only one of its kind in the country determined exclusively by employee surveys and scored based on factors such as leadership, corporate values, training and employee benefits.

Roche Bros. was one of only thirteen Massachusetts-area companies named among the 150 best businesses to work for in the country, according to the survey released Thursday.

“We are always working to be the best place to shop and the best place to work.  The former is impossible without the latter,” said Rick Roche, CEO of Roche Bros.  “Our associates do their best for our customers because we always strive to do our best for our associates.  Glad to see it is showing!”

Roche Bros., a chain of 18 supermarkets located throughout Greater Boston, Metro-West and Southern Massachusetts, is a family owned enterprise that now employs more than 4,000 full and part-time employees.
