Friends Network matches each Mentor ("big friend") with a younger student in the third, fourth or fifth grade ("little friend") to form a special 1:1 relationship. The Mentors' Friends Network training is usually scheduled at the end of October and then the Big Friend/Little Friend pairs meet weekly on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30 p.m. from the beginning of November through the end of April.

The pairs usually play games, talk, engage in art activities, and generally hang out and have fun together. Friends Network Mentors must be able to keep this weekly commitment very consistently as their little friend will be relying on them to be there! Opportunities are available to all Westwood High School students.
